Losing on time can be Magic!

I was playing a bullet game and on one move, I moved and my opponent didn't move for a time (his clock was running down)-- and suddenly, I lost on time!

Evidently, the computer decided not to move, but still told me it did???

Grr!

Chess.com attributes this magic to "connection" problems except it could be possible that one is playing against a magician.

A post like this deserves to be framed.

I wonder- has this ever been tried here?

A player with no knowledge of chess can achieve a 50% score in simultaneous chess by replicating the moves made by one of his white opponents in a match against a black opponent, and vice versa; the opponents in effect play each other rather than the cheater. This trick was attempted in correspondence chess matches against Alexander Alekhine and Efim Bogoljubov, which they uncovered after discussing the games with each other. Stage magician Derren Brown used the trick against nine leading British chess players in his television show.

Yes, and the dude was banned for cheating.

Wow, it took me a couple minutes to figure it out--but yes, that would work.

Just out of curiosity, why were you taking screenshots in the middle of a bullet game, especially the one before anything gets weird? And when you could have forced mate?

This is what makes bullet chess as much like flipping a coin to see who wins as it is like chess.

Bullet chess is not chess; it stinks and I am Done playing it.

I used to like blitz chess, but thanks to lousy internet connections, the only games I want to play are 30 | 0 or longer.
