Should tactics triner have a "anything" option.

Hi there,

well excuse my english, I meant a "nothing" button.

I am proud about my tactics rating, but I have realized that I do not make the most of it in my games.

I think I have a good rating because I really know there is any tactic advantaje in the position, but in a true game, I could not be sure sure of it.

I am suggesting, of course, that, in my opinion, it would be interesting that in some exercises the solution is simply do not to search for a tactic advantaje and continue analyzing the strategy,....

What do you think?

Tactics ratings are normally a lot higher than other ratings, wouldn't read so much into it.

Yes, that's true. I found a guy who had 2400 and 1600 in correspondance.

But what about the suggestion?

I hoppe It has been well explained, just an optional solution that means there is no tactic advantaje avaible in the position.

You mean like a strategy trainer?

Chess.com's TT can't handle positions when there is no clear best move, but there are other places you can do it.

Thanks for the info.

I think chess mentor is also like an strategy trainer.

I was thinking in a variation of tactics trainer as it is. Just to have a button called something like "no tactic advantage posibility" and include some exercises mixed with the usual where you can think you have chances but there is not any good tactic move to win material or make checkmate, so the solution were this button.
