Blunders and mouseslips are a part of chess. Takebacks are not.
Not the end of the world, start a new game.
In chess there's the phenomenon that one instantly sees the blunder one made the moment one lets go of the piece as if struck by lightning. It's too easy ofcourse to just yell "mouseslip!".
Mouse skills are part of the online blitz experience. One luckily you'll get better at it with practise.
While I'm still a horrible chessplayer outright mouseslips are quite rare for me. And in all my online chessplaying I've never requested a takeback. Would rather admit I videotape my mom getting dressed than request a takeback to be honest.

While I understand the sentiment, the mom part made bad reading. Too crass to let pass. It could have been said in some other way.

Ofcourse it could have but does it matter? Humour is a tough thing and one tries to be generally lighthearted around the internet. what makes your comment any better to read if you aren't even going to respond on topic when quoting the whole thing?..

I did that the other day, rather then Qg7+ (with knight support) it was Qd8+ (wtf! really!?) so after some thought I offered him a draw, followed by my saying "just kidding" and resigned. no big deal really, it happens. Its not like everyone is watching and there is some secret forum where everone critique's your games and is like.. omg! did you see kevinskious drop that queen? what a patzer ...I think everyone drops a piece now and again..

I am really glad that there are no takebacks on chess.com. I agree with RustinTime that one should just start a new game - if one can recover from the shock of a mouseslip that fast that is. It has happened to me a few times where I was crushing my opponent and blew it because of a mouseslip. Took me some yelling and screaming and running around the house to recover. But it was nobody's fault but my own.
Personally I find the sentence "mouse skills are part of the online blitz experience" the most humorous part in what RustinTime said.

I agree with both your views. Takeback is a complete "no no" and humour is a tough thing.
Some days ago in one of my live chess games the mouse slipped and I lost my queen. It is happening with a lot of people.I request chess.com to have a takeback move in live chess.
