the OP shalt not be deletable

@ghost_of_pushwood has just been unmuted and now that the page numbers have changed, the bunny can't access the last page.  hence this post, to fix that.

Just got answered with test #2.  The topic name keeps getting prefixed with the forum category for every op deletion or is it op change.

an "off-topic" is added to the URL every time i get that but the same link still works to get to the original post no?

yes.  but anyone using the old url in a link with not find the topic.  there must also be a limit to topic name length, so they can't keep prefixing forever.  also it is not clear whether the deletion of the op or change of owner triggers this prefixing.

This thread is dated 2018, it is now 2020. Why has this not been fixed yet? How much money do we have to pay the staff to fix it?

They must be busy improving the look and feel of flairs, badges and themes.  And giving chess bots names, personalities and back stories.  You know, the important stuff.

It's like Jake Peralta has taken over from @erik

Or the site decided that the ability to fully delete the first post is by design and doesn't need to be fixed.

Just because specific issues haven't been fixed yet, doesn't mean that other staff won't be working on their own, unrelated tasks. Even if a particular issue is flagged as needing fixed, it gets assigned to a staff member (or maybe team) and is given an internal priority, which can mean that a lot of other things will get done before the task in question.

Making this change including impact analysis is trivial.  If the red tape around it costs so much more time and effort, one needs to rethink the process.  But then what does a dumb bunny know about the operation of a business?

Sorry but the bunny finds his Jake Peralta theory much more logical and therefore likely.
