Time Countdown and Disconnection

I was having a good game when suddenly my opponent got disconnected, i wished to play the entire game. With no penalty for the one who suffers with bad internet connection.

I think we should choose whether the clock will still counting down or not when our opponent is disconnected for some reason. Something as "Do you want to wait your opponent? He's probably having some issues in his internet. [Yes,No]". And if he spent more than the match time you can choose win by W.O. or keep waiting his return. The server might put some rules like, you cannot wait more than Z times the length of the match.

um idk if that'd be a good idea, tons of people disconnect when they're losing, would rather not have to wait 2361234 minutes for my win......
