Messed up position for Magnus. I hope Nakamura doesn't throw it away...
Nakamura vs. Carlsen Zurich 2014
After thinking for 15.5 minutes, Naka finds 21. Bc1, the computer's top recommended move! Computer gives Naka a +0.94 edge
The way in which Nakamura is winning against Carlsen involves such startling and continuous forward motion. It vaguely reminds me of http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1311652. It also kind of makes me want to learn how to play 1.d4 :)
Props to Carlsen for keeping fighting even in a sincerely lost position. At least that way you give your opponent a chance to make mistakes.
A win here would actually propel Carlsen to within 3 or so points of his highest rating ever.
Hopefully one of these 2 players wins.
Computer giving Carslen the edge now with -2.00.
This will definitely be Nakamura's most stressful and upsetting defeat in his life if Carlsen wins :( I wouldn't blame him if he tore up his hotel room after this one.
Naka with white vs. Carlsen at Zurich going on right now. Maybe it will be Nakamura's first classical win vs. Carlsen??
The game is on move 18 and the engine gives Naka a +0.56 edge. Exciting :)
