Great initiative, Derek. What about players who join under 1350, but reach higher rating over the course of the tournament?

I have no idea how that works to be honest! I have set a few tournaments up and it's a learning curve with each one, I am sure someone will be able to tell us, if there is no answer here within a couple of days I'll ask an admin. There is a new range of tournaments for the club featuring three trophys. I posted in the club news section. Are you enjoying the club? (thanks for the great participation btw, you're an asset to the club).

Yes, I'm enjoying the club, thanks for all your work with the organizing. I've seen other tournaments saying that people will be "thrown" out of the tournament, either upon start, or during the tournament, if they go higher than the rating limit. But it seems to be completely up to the organizer, so I think it makes sense to have a minimum amount of games played, like 100 or more, so you know the rating is pretty stable and then if someone is going over while he plays, it's not a big deal.

I have been looking at the number of games played option. It is a tricky one. Have you organised any tournaments yet? I have a new series in mind in you fancy trying a few, it's nice to give back to the community and the small 5-10 player tournaments are really popular.

Yeah, i've organized two, one is still being played. They're called Speedy Champions grin.png The idea was to focus on quick movers, where once a day is too slow and boring, but rapids are too timeconsuming at once. So I made it max. 6 hours per move, 100 games playes, low timeout %. I think that's the ideal tournament for me. We could do something like that through the club. The last one had almost 100 signing up for it, although it took a while to get started.
