In a livechess tournament, I got black for both games I played. What in the flipping world is going on with the algorithm??

Its best to start by being honest with yourself.

You dont "always" get black.

Look at your ratings. and games.  You're not "better" with white.  Youre a beginner that is equally bad with both colors.

Sometimes you have to play the same color twice in a row, but ideally you would alternate colors each round. It is even possible to get the same color 3 times in a row but it is extremely rare.

The max I ever got was 7 in a row on L*chess

Ive gotten 5 times in a row with white followed by 3 in a row for black:

Getting black twice in a row is quite normal in OTB tournaments as well. Think about it: You have a 25% chance of getting 2 Whites in a row, and the same percentage for 2 Blacks.

I counted you have played 12 games with each colour so quit whining about it

maybe the game wants you to become good at both sides, and you are already good with white, so you must play as black for a while

Does it really matter? You are equally bad with both sides so have much potential with improvement for both sides.
