I thought it apt to bring forth this essay by Annie Dillard for discussion.
What do people think of this esteemed essayist?

All I know is she's one of Those People who write Those Kinds of Stories which appear in Those Magazines and that end up at the end of the year in Those Anthologies.
In sum, she's boring as hell. Anyway, this seems to be her at her dithering best...and bringing up death (or I should say, Death) every sentence is sure to show what a Deep Soul you are. In fact, she seems to be one of those people dedicated to living a Life In Caps.
Personally, I would greatly prefer it if she was one of these Dillards:
