Why does Chess.com not give my son his Platinum membership back??

Hi,

I upgraded to Diamond membership for one month to check if my son makes use of it. I canceled it last night as otherwise I would have been charged for the next month. I stated in the message that the account should go back to the Platinum membership and we will decide if we upgrade another time before deciding to upgrade permanently. The 1 year Platinum membership is paid for until end of August.Now Chess.com canceled my son's account completely and never replied to my message to activate it again. For an account we have to pay again although we have one month left. Please help!
