John, I would actually like to thank you. Because I take this kind of things very serious since my school has done an assembly on African Heritage, and each class is supposed to choose a country to do. Our class chose Somalia, because of K'naan, who is from Somalia. I definitely agree that this is a song that we should all give respect to. This is a very powerful song.
The author's message is: Be respect to the soldiers that have fought for you. If they didn't fought for you, you probably wouldn't have freedom and a good life today.
