On becoming a chess coach....

On becoming a chess coach....

Oct 31, 2016, 11:07 PM 0

This fall I officially became a chess coach. Part-time. I think this will lead to some fun and lots of self-discovery. My junior charge still drops too much material but he's looking forward to getting his first Chess Federation of Canada rating.

My plan is to attend a future FIDE trainer's seminar and score one of the titles available. I have a humble FIDE rating, I speak three languages, hold a B.Sc. degree but I'm still working on publishing my first eBook of original chess lessons. Getting published is important.

I wonder if anyone on chess.com has advice for new chess coaches.

See you online.
