Hi again everyone. As the title states, I have joined the Chess Dojo. https://www.chessdojo.shop/ For those interested The Chess Dojo is offering a month free until January 7th 2023 by using promo code DOJONEWYEAR found here on their Twitter post. I have made two videos discussing the training plan options and how to Sign up. You can view either of them below.

How to Sign up for the Chess Dojo - https://youtu.be/6nM9g2sifio

Chess Dojo Training Plan - https://youtu.be/ZMgkks0rnA4

This will be the training plan to follow for serious chess improvement. How did the Russians during the cold war, become the top chess minds of the world for their time? Community! They worked together. Bobby Fischer did it primarily alone but you shouldn't have to. Having a community of a plus, a minus and an equal is the way forward.

A plus is a player a much deeper knowledge and higher rating than you. Someone who can help train and offer new ideas for thinking and correct the flaws in yours.

A minus is a player who you might help and coach. Teach them your ideas and help explain ideas and concepts you understand.

An equal or equals, are arguably the most important factor in chess improvement. Equals are those in your cohort or rating band. Those you spar with. The ones you are in the trenches with. Discussing. Analyzing. Improving. Arguing points and ideas with. These are the ones you will cut your teeth with.

Having a community, whether it be online or in person at a local club or both even, is a great way to reach your improvement goals. For a long time many of us have been on this chess journey solo. A nomad for chess insight and knowledge. Like we are looking for some secret that will take us to the next level deep within a book or tomb. No more however. Your chess journey does not have to be solo.

You no longer need to struggle for an tad of improvement on your own. Join a community. Do not lurk in the darkness looking for the chess light. The Chess Dojo is a great place to do so. There are two discords. A public one which is filled with many chess players just like you who are looking for improvement and a community. This discord is a place you can see how the Dojo operates before really deciding if you'd like to become part of the community. And a training discord for those who sign up for a plan on the website. This discord is more structured and setup for following the plan for chess improvement following the plus, minus and equals method. I have chosen to not renew my chess.com Diamond membership for the year since I got nothing from it and this was cheaper so it was the natural move.

If you are really thinking of taking your chess to the next level and looking for a place for serious improvement with players who are also serious about their chess improvement I would invite you all to check out the Chess Dojo. The Dojo consists of three Sensei's GM Jesse Kraai, IM David Pruess and IM Kostya Kavutskiy. They have twitch and youtube channels and chances are you have already seen some of their videos. Hope to see you there.
