Hey guys! It's ChessDudeCool1212. I have thought of a new variant idea called mine chess.
So you know how some people in war put mines in the ocean to blow up enemy boats over them? It is the same idea, or pretty similar. It is regular chess, but there is one difference. There are 8 squares, 1/8 of the board, that are mine squares. These are random. If a piece lands on it, it is eliminated from the board. If a piece lands on it, the fact that it is a mine square will be hidden, and the players have to remember that square. Results the same as regular chess, but there is an additional way to win, if the opponent's king lands on a mine square. The king is gone and you win. This would only work if you are playing online chess, so no board battles like this. Let me know what you think!
