You may have noticed that the competition has recently gone through a small change with regards to it's look and I thought it might be helpful if team admins had access to a few headers etc that they could use in their own team forums / news articles when trying to encourage participation from their group members. Therefore please find a few bits and bobs that you may (or may not) find useful below. If there's anything specific you need just let me know and I'll see what I can do. Please find below the fixtures for 2016. There will be one match per month with each match starting on the last Saturday of the month. Please note there are no matches in March as hopefully round 1 of the cup will be starting around this time. Please post links to matches once challenges have been accepted. This forum will show the fixtures for group B of the 2015 League. Teams have been selected randomly to play in each of groups A and B. The winners of groups A and B will play at the end of the season to find the overall winner.

I think we need to start thinking ahead to the next season in 2016. Please discuss my proposals below. 1) To have a top and a lower division. At present the top 4 finishers in each of group A and B will be in division 1 and the remaining teams in division 2. If new teams apply to enter the championship then this may change, any new teams will enter in division 2. 2) The minimum player limit for division 1 will be 8 players and the minimum for division 2 will remain at 4. Any team that doesn't think it can field 8 players regularly can elect to play in division 2. 3) Do we want an automatic start time, to make sure matches start on the agreed dates? Please feel free to discuss the above and any other ideas that will help the league run smoothly next season. It would also be good if someone could help me run all of the above. Eg I would run one division and someone else could run the other, if we have enough volunteers a third person could run a cup competition. Best wishes Matt

I am writing some new proposals for the 2015 season, please discuss and contribute. 1. I am willing to take the lead with the group unless anyone has any objections, but would appreciate help running the competition from others. 2. The league should be split into 2 equal groups - League A and League B. Teams will be allocated to each league randomly. If we had a top and a 2nd division I think it will be too difficult to fairly decide who should play in each. At the end of the season the team top of each league play each other to decide the overall winner. For 2016 we can decide whether to carry on with equal divisions or a 1st and 2nd. 3. We should play 2 simultaneous games at a time in all matches, ie play your opponent with white and black at the same time. This will speed up the completion of matches and bring it into line with the international group competition. The aim will be that all matches will be completed by December 2015, in order to start a new competition in 2016. 4. The time limit will remain 3 days per move. 5. Teams must field at least 5 players or forfeit the match. 6. 2 points will be scored for a win, 1 for a draw. 7. All results must be reported to a results forum by a team leader in order for the controller (myself) to add points to the league table. 8. The deadline for entering the league will be December 1st 2014. 9. I will create a list of fixtures in December, will the aim of the league starting in January. 10. All matches must be started by the final Saturday in the allocated month for the match. Please discuss and contribute, the above are just ideas to help things run smoothly and not set in stone. Could you put all your comments about the 2011 County Championship here please and leave the forums with the teams i just put out alone so i can put the fixtures tables and results there.
