so when i am playing fog of war vs high rated players they always seem to know what my move is... is there a way of seeing the moves ?

I decided to create a Fog of War opening study because I love this variant: https://lichess.org/study/SNazoqqM/HoBSslhU I have lots more ideas I could add to it, but am curious if anyone else is interested in that. Also is the Lichess opening study format best for this? Or would it be better in video form using chess.com's Fog of War board, like GM Illingworth does in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7IsH5dhGj0&t=1747s Would anyone be interested in me creating a video like GM Illingworth's with my FoW opening ideas?

*NOTE* - I have removed my original post discussing the cheating that happens occasionally in Fog of War. The reason is, this thread has devolved from a constructive and general discussion about cheating into a free vsaxena from chess jail! rally--vsaxena being a guy banned from variants by the admins for alleged sextuple-accounting and cheating in some way (according to him). I'm not an admin, nor is anyone else in this discussion, as far as I am aware. None of us possess inside knowledge about the admins' decisions. No one here in the thread ever mentioned vsaxena or accused him of anything. No one here has any idea whether he got what he deserved--including the homies he recruited to post character references below. So it's unclear why vsaxena chose to bless us with a gothic-novel-length screed proclaiming his innocence and integrity. It seems misdirected and bizarre, a discussion for another thread of its own, or maybe a personal anger journal. I don't want my bit of research and this thread to draw attention to the histrionics that have intruded here, or lend legitimacy to them. The discussion about cheating in Fog of War will move to another time and another place.

Fog of war is an exciting variant which can easily be played here or on other websites and apps which have this variant. But how do I get the fun on a real chessboard? Pls tell. Hope to find the answer as quickly as possible.

Does anyone else besides me imagine that the opponent is doing the craziest shiet on the other side of the board, does your imagination also run wild thinking that the other person is lining up against you in the perfect combination about to strike at you? I often find my self very paranoid about the opponents pieces which makes me play often too defensively and hinders my play. Does anyone else have this problem, and what about offense players what do you do to battle this fear? I was watching vsaxenas games earlier today and I saw that he had a good mix of defense and offense that seemed to work well, but I cant seem to find my rhythm .

I think this mode is kinda bad bcuz you don't really know if you lose or win. Nf3 from white already threads # but you also don't know if black defends it or if black defends Ne5 but white played Nc3 or white could go for Nf3 and Ne5 but maybe black did d6 and could have won with Ng5 and... in conslusion it's just luck that you think the current position of your oponent correctly. What do you think?

I just played a FOW game and the fog wasn't working for either side. https://www.chess.com/variants/custom/game/19481052/109/3 You can see that it's labeled as "Fog of War" at the top, but the link says "custom" variant instead of "fog of war" variant. When you play through the game afterward, there is no "enable fog" button. To get this game, I spectated a 3|2 fog of war game, then challenged one of the players by clicking their name and clicking the challenge button. It was supposed to create a new 3|2 fog of war game. Instead it made a 3|2 standard game.

Is the leaderboard no longer a thing?
