If I have 1 word to say for this that would be BORING. Here's why : Apparently most of the teams did a lot of strat blunders and it was obv that it would be a McLaren 1 and 2. Verstappen ( gah) apparently lost pace and Hamilton ( this was intr) p3 was also prethought  Now here's the blunder part : 1. RB COULD HAVE KEPT DANNY ALONG WITH YUKI . COULD HAVE LEAD TO THEM BEING 9TH AND 10. BUT NO THEY DID A 3 STOP FOR DANY WHICH RUINED HIS RACE. 2.PEREZ : ARE YOU EVEN SERIOUS ?! GOOD PASSES AND P8 IK BUT THAT TOO IN A RED BULL? NAH COULD HAVE GRABBED P6 IF HAD BETTER QUALI. 3. RUSSEL : GOOD JOB . BUT QUALI?! AND THE SECOND /THIRD PITSTOP WASNT NECESSARY. COULD HAVE CHOSEN 2 STOP LIKE YUKI.  4.ALONSO AMD STROLL : PRETTY GOOFY RACE AND PITSTOPS . STRAT BLUNDER. 5. ALBON , MAG ,HULK ;: WONDERFUL JOB IN THE FIRST STINT BUT STRAT BLUNDER. GOOD PARTS :  HAM P3  PIASTRI 1ST WIN IN F1  YUKI P9  FERRARI RAN SMOOTH  VER P5  RESULTS :  PIASTRI  NORRIS  HAM  LEC  VER  SAI  PER  RUS  TSU  STR   ALO  RIC  HULK  ALB  MAG  OCON  BOT  ZHOU OR SAR SAR OR ZHOU  GASLY

After a drama-packed Hungarian Grand Prix, F1's heading to Spa (Belgium) to battle it out once again! And since Hungary, there have been 3 big news pieces that I've noticed that I want to touch on. For starters, Alpine have a new livery for this Grand Prix, themed for the new movie "Deadpool; Wolverine". And I've gotta admit, I wouldn't mind if Alpine stuck with this livery for the rest of the season! Despite the squad being my least favorite team, this livery brings some life to the often plain liveries that F1 has. Check out the images by clicking these words. Next, you guys may remember Ferrari's former manager, Mattia Binotto. The Italian boss took a break from F1 after a rollercoaster few seasons from 2019-22. Well, now he's back with Audi, the company that will acquire Kick Sauber's team from 2026 on with a complete rebrand and an all-new engine. This project is already in the development phase heading into 2026's regulation changes and many talented engineers have hopped on board. Mattia has now been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer. Speaking of management, the long-anticipated release of F1 Manager 2024 has finally arrived! The video game is available on PC, Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. It comes with the largest update yet, with 70,000 lines of radio, enhanced track visuals, a new Create a Team mode, a new driver mentality system, Affiliate drivers, an upgraded sponsorship system, poaching talent, a new helicam, and mechanical failures. And those are just the new features. Many features have received huge upgrades to add depth and realism, and the core elements that F1 Manager has been known for have been preserved and even refined. With that, who's excited for Belgium? Comment below on any of these stories and share your take!
I have an opinion that may be unpopular with some people, but I just wanted to share it and see if anyone agrees or disagrees. Hungary is the worst track on the calendar. Despite my ancestry being Hungarian at least as far back as 100 years (after that is still probably that far) I can't say that it has anything of material value aside from a shot that makes it look like the cars are flying and the fact that it allowed F1 a race in the Soviet Union that united both sides of the Iron Curtain for 1 race. That's it. Other than that, the track is pretty bad. Agree or disagree? Comment below!

I understand that this is an F1 club, but I mean INDYCAR is open wheel racing too, just a bit less corrupt money-wise (I still like both, but I hate nascar), but I want to complain to whoever is in charge of televising INDYCAR and that the Toronto race isn’t televised. It was a good race last year, with a surprise winner (Christian Lungaard), but no one got to see it because it wasn’t televised. INDYCAR please do something

By the looks of things, the constructor's championship will be in a dead heat by the end of the season! After a race to remember, we saw Sainz, Verstappen, Piastri, Norris, and George Russell all in contention for the win before Lewis Hamilton himself prevailed in the end. Hulkenberg brought home P6 for the second time in 2 races for Haas, and Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso took home a double points finish for Aston Martin after a tough few races. Alex Albon brought home P9 for the second time this season and Yuki Tsunoda rounded out the top 10. Honorable mentions go to Logan Sargeant in P11 and George Russell who unfortunately had to retire with technical issues. The real shock in the end was Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc, who were both lapped and failed to get close to the points. Charles later said that he "doesn't know what to say anymore" and Red Bull boss Christian Horner said that Perez's failure to get above P7 in 6 races (with no points in 3 of those) is "unsustainable" and "he knows that". However, what remains to be settled is the constructor's standings. Here's the 4 teams in contention: Red Bull: 373 Points Ferrari: 302 Points Mclaren: 295 Points Mercedes: 221 Points Red Bull, with Verstappen, has been on a charge all season, winning half the races. But increasingly other drivers are catching up, and the last 3 races have only produced 1 win. Checo's aforementioned points drought is also beginning to hurt them, and can't continue without significant effects. That said, they have a healthy lead. Ferrari's drivers are both 3rd and 4th, 4 points away from each other. Charles Leclerc has finished 4th or higher every race... until the last 4, where only 10 points have been put on the table. Carlos Sainz has only been out of the points once this season (and that was a DNF). That said, they need to work on consistently closing the gap to rivals. Mclaren has Norris in a strong 2nd in the championship, and is Verstappen's most consistent challenger. There have been few times where he's beaten his friend so far. Both have been very consistently in the points, but tend to find themselves in 2nd to someone else often. That said, they've closed the gap to Ferrari at record speed. Mercedes had a rough start to the season, and their drivers sit 7th and 8th. However, over the last few races, the tables have turned and both have scored over half their points in just the last 4 races. If this momentum can be sustained, they'll be the most consistently scoring constructor and a real candidate for the championship. So, who's taking it? Give your opinion below!

You read that right! The F2 superstar that subbed for Carlos Sainz for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix has confirmed a "multi-year deal" with the Haas F1 Team starting in 2025. He'll be replacing Nico Hulkenberg as he moves on to Kick Sauber (which will be completely rebranded as Audi in 2026).  The 19-year old says that it's "hard to put into words" just how much this means for him, and that he's "immensely proud" of the opportunity. He's also very grateful for team principal Ayao Komatsu and CEO Gene Haas for believing in him as a driver. After Bearman's P7 finish in the 2nd fastest, 2nd longest, and 1st most corners [sic] track in the F1 calendar (not to mention that it's a street track) in the span of 72 hour's notice in the top tier of motorsport, Oliver shot into the spotlight and suddenly became another driver in the ever-expanding driver market, which now may still include all of these names: Jack Doohan Kimi Antonelli Esteban Ocon Guanyu Zhou Logan Sargeant Carlos Sainz Kevin Magnussen Valtteri Bottas Daniel Ricciardo Sebastian Vettel Liam Lawson Felipe Drugovich Mick Schumacher Theo Pourchaire Ayumu Iwasa Isack Hadjar Ultimately, Haas seized the opportunity for Bearman, who will now be looking at a potential partnership with veteran Kevin Magnussen, who still needs to sign a contract for 2025. Anyone that watched the recent Austrian Grand Prix knows that one particular event changed the course of the entire race. Actually, many events did! From Oscar Piastri's Qualifying Penalty to Max's slow pit stop (6.5s), many small things contributed to an eventful race that was one to remember. Comment below if Austria's also one of your favorite tracks   But the moment everyone will remember a year from now will be the clash between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. After Norris began to close in, the final round of pit stops began, and lo and behold, Max Verstappen's pit crew made a rare mistake that caused a loss of over 4 seconds to Lando. The gap was down to 3 seconds, 2 seconds, 1 second before we knew it. Norris sensed victory and was going to go for it. Lap after lap he attempted to attack, often going for bold moves in the world-famous 3rd corner. Once, he dove for it from afar and skidded off the track, having to give the place back. Next, he tried the inside line but pushed Verstappen off. Other times he was just a few feet/meters away, but Verstappen firmly defended the position. And then it happened: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/must-see-huge-drama-in-austria-as-verstappen-and-norris-collide-while.2O8jvDPthMBPbV8Jd62gLB As Lando aggressively marked his spot on the outside, they both closed on each other, and one thud and famous corner later, both were off the track with tires punctured and debris flying off the cars. As both cars hobbled across the hallowed Austrian corners, being overtaken by lapped cars, a sense of anger and disappointment grew among both teams. Max managed to pit and go on to finish the race in 5th. Norris's car picked up sufficient damage to not be able to race on. George Russell, who was seemingly just cruising to a 3rd place finish, took the win, followed by a close battle between Piastri and Sainz for 2nd and 3rd. 4th went to Lewis Hamilton, with Verstappen in 5th and a superstar Hulkenberg holding off Perez to take 6th. 8th also went to the Haas of Kevin Magnussen, with Daniel Ricciardo and Pierre Gasly rounding out the top 10. After a 1st corner incident, Leclerc only managed 11th. It was truly a race to watch, and I highly recommend rewatching the highlights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0yb1zH2m7c
Did Verstappen derserve his win? I personally think yes.
Since I last posted, quite a bit has taken place in the Formula 1 world. The driver market is continuing to heat up, with Ocon confirmed to be exiting Alpine, and Perez and Tsunoda extending their contracts at Red Bull and RB, cooling down the contested Red Bull seat. James Vowles, the boss at Williams, has stated in no uncertain terms that Carlos Sainz (who has no seat for 2025) is his top pick if possible.  Meanwhile, with the race in Canada beginning in just a few hours, the tensions are high. George Russell sealed pole position as he and Max Verstappen scored identical qualifying times for the second time in F1 history! Here's the report: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article/russell-clinches-pole-position-in-canada-with-identical-time-to-verstappen.2Pv0IDXhWAfq2wJwCyqPqf  I hope you guys get a chance to watch the race (or at least the highlights). Have a great day!

Following a collision between Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly (the 2 drivers at Alpine) in Monaco, Alpine's recently appointed team principal Bruno Famin has insisted that the incident will be deal with "behind closed doors". Alpine has had a poor start to the F1 2024 season, and remain in 9th place in the constructors. The team has previously made clear their ambitions to get to the top in a few seasons as an all-french team, and clashes like these must be minimized to climb the ladder. Make your predictions for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Whoever's closest will win a trophy from me of your choosing If more than 5 people participate, then I'll do this for the next race.
Here it is: https://www.chess.com/votechess/game/295887 We're going to try and take home a solid points finish with this one! A draw or a win can get that, but we need YOUR support. Everyone is welcome, and we're currently navigating a very weird opening that is still very much even. Come join the party today
