what's a random fun fact about yourself that most people don't know?

As more and more people join, their ELO gets transfered to what I like to call:THE ELO WAVE SYSTEMbasically, +-100 of your ELO is not yours to keep, but to lose or win backLet’s say that we have ~100 Million members that play every day. That is nearly 10 Billion ELO that will be given to other people or lost.If around ~10 million people quit because they lost ELO, then we would have an extra billion ELO to distribute. In a perfect world,If everyone started at 1000 ELO, then that Billion ELO would be divided among everyone.that means the ~90 million people would be 1100In the real world, This is how the ELO goesBeginner→Intermediate→Advanced→GMIf the gms keep trading and gaining ELO, then what would be their rating in 10 years?Let’s say that there are 5 beginners (500 ELO), 5 intermediate (1300), and so on till grandmaster. We can simulate what it will be in 5 years with a table (shortened)YEAR 1:everyone is at the starting eloYEAR 2:Beginners become either 300 or 900YEAR 3:Intermediates farm beginners and get to 1500or drop down to 900YEAR 4:Advanced Farms intermediate and gets to 2000YEAR 5:Grandmasters farm Advanced and get to 3000FINAL:Beginners 300-900Intermediate 900-1500Advanced 1800-2100Grandmaster 2400-3000The ratings inflated! After all, Rating inflation would just bring everyone up.In around 100 years, the chess.com beginner would be about 1600, the grandmaster would be about 5000So my answer is that if the rating inflation per yearrating inflation = (players*100)/players who quit and give elo awaydepends on how many people quit.if there are 2 million who quit out of every 10 million who join, the inflation is 80 per year.if the inflation is 80 per year, then add the highest rating you know(I know a 2800)2800+800=3600So my answer is 3600(Note this is just my estimate and is most likely not accurate)This only includes rapid, and other modes dependOther controls have different inflations.

I have Played a bot in a game of Chess based of Maia Bot they are similair rated my guess within 50 elo of each other... lifetime i have a 6-4 record against the bot, But I have created my Own Maia engine at the 1000, 1400 and 1800 level so i can play it at my leisure and Create my own database of games versus the average human... Yup you read that right... Maia bot has a correlation higher than any other Engine ever created compared with humans of the same rating. So whose the Bot? I will release a youtube video proving who is the bot after some discussions if anyone wants to guess...

In the world of chess, we all know that checks and captures are the most powerful moves on the board. But what about the third most powerful and often forcing option? Enter "min-maxing." It's the art of maximizing your options and stifling your opponent's moves, all while strategically navigating the chessboard. As we delve into min-maxing, you'll discover how it unveils some of chess's most intriguing and influential positions, including one that can leave your opponent in a bind - zugzwang. Understanding Min-Maxing in ChessIn chess, min-maxing is the strategic principle of maximizing your own options, ideas, and attacks while simultaneously minimizing your opponent's. It's not merely about taking space or controlling the center; it's about optimizing every move to its fullest potential. Let's break it down further: Minimizing Your Opponent's Ideas and Moves: At the same time, min-maxing involves restricting your opponent's moves, ideas, and threats. By anticipating their threats and preventing their plans, you limit their options. Sometimes, the best way to minimize your opponent's options is to challenge their piece and offer a trade. Alternatively, you can make a move that defends or over-defends your pieces and pawns, making it harder for your opponent to attack through your position. Maximizing Your Moves: Min-maxing is all about making each move count. Consider moves that control key squares, lines, and files. Bonus points if you can have your pieces pointing in the king's direction, blocking pawns, or pinning pieces. These moves may seem unassuming, but they pave the way for a stronger position in the long run. Lets look at an example of Min-Maxing and how to calculate what the best min-max move is.In conclusion, min-maxing in chess is a strategy that often goes unnoticed but wields significant power on the board. As you continue to refine your chess skills, remember that mastering min-maxing is a journey. Study the examples provided, practice these principles in your games, and watch as your strategic prowess on the chessboard reaches new heights. Now its your turn, from the same game what does white play here to achieve the best min max outcome? 1.evaluate the position who has the initiative? 2. if you analyze correctly you can choose which strategy to maximize or minimize... now just look for the move that Prevents/creates the most of the desired outcome! maximizing your attack? or minimizing your opponents? and of course ideally the move would do both! 3. your move should create/eliminate multiple idea's, ideally weighted towards being aggressive(maximizing) or defensive(minimizing) need a hint? message me and ill give you a clue! Min-maxing in chess is a strategy that often goes unnoticed but wields significant power on the board. As you continue to refine your min-maxing skills, remember that mastering is a journey. Study the examples provided, practice these principles in your games. By mastering the art of min-maxing, you'll find yourself in positions of control and power on the chessboard, ready to seize victory. Stay tuned for tomorrow's article, where we'll dive even deeper into the world of chess strategy and explore how min-maxing can lead you to one of the second most powerful position in chess - zugzwang.
