Hi! Maybe you've been hoping for a promotion lately, but haven't gotten one. Here are some rules that you must have to be a coordinator or admin. Coordinators must have had an account for more than two months, they must be sort of involved in the TGO community, and they must be willing to make event if they are coordinators. You should try to answer questions, and if you can't, ask an admin or SA. Admins must have had an account for more than three months, be very involved, still be willing to make events, but also willing to invite members and accept them. When you accept members, please do a quick background check before accepting. When you invite members, the same thing. Please answer questions if any. If you have any questions yourself, ask an SA or another admin. Please do not ban, kick, or mute anyone without asking an SA.  If you'd like to be a coordinator or admin, please comment below stating why you should. Admins are only promoted if they have already been a coordinator for at least one or two weeks depending on your activity level. Also, remember to set an example. We have a staff club you will be invited to. Please also be willing to join so you can be involved. Do not spread information on what we are talking about int the club. (for example a potential ban or kick) Otherwise, thank you!

Hey guys!As we talked about in this thread [https://www.chess.com/announcements/view/big-decision-plz-read], our club is private now.Since we’re now checking everyone at the door, we need to set some ground rules for new members. We want to keep the club active and clean, especially for our tournaments and Vote Chess. What do you think our "filter" should be?Should we require a minimum number of games? A specific account age? Or maybe a rating floor? Please drop your suggestions below.

Not going to lie, I haven’t studied any openings except for one, the London System, so I don’t really have one. Comment your favorite for fun, and maybe I’ll learn it too lol!

We're always welcome to partnerships, and if you are a super/admin in a club that you think we would be interested in partnering with, please contact one of the super admins/owner. Anyway, here is a list of all the clubs we have partnered with! https://www.chess.com/club/art-and-chess-1 Art and Chess, our first partnership. (150+ members) https://www.chess.com/club/anime-and-music Anime and Music, our second partnership. (250+ members) https://www.chess.com/club/nothing-but-chess-3 Nothing But Chess, our third partnership. (300+ members) For your club to be eligible, it has to have at least 150+ members, have decent basic rules, and be approved by a co/owner.

Hello everyone! Recently, I've been studying the Van't Kruijs Opening (A00) on Lichess. It might sound strange, but this opening is extremely effective, especially if you're a positional player. If you're interested, you can click on this link ( https://lichess.org/study/9KkRy4Hx/jEnRpwui ). Oh, and you don't need an account on Lichess! Maybe, in the future, I will create versions in other languages. Anyway, if you have any questions or suggestions, please send them in the chat here or in the study. Note: I also have the content in Portuguese, though I don't know if there are many Portuguese speakers here. Anyway, the link is ( https://lichess.org/study/gwUAZfQ4/hjTUyMwR ).

What is a game that you've won/lost that you're most proud of? For me this would be the time I won a game and almost had an elo of 400 in bullet.

I was thinking about a position were the best thing to do for withe is promoting a pawn to a rook, and I came up with this. White to move. The Idea is that promoting the pawn to a queen ends the game with a draw by stealmate, while with a rook black has to move the king to A1; the game ends with Rh1#.   Let me know if you ever heard about a position like that or another one where the best move is promoting a pawn to a rook or a bishop.

Have you heard of the Budapest Gambit? Have you tried it yourself? If not, it starts 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e5, as shown below: While not an opening that you can earn a badge for on chess.com, it is a rare and fun attacking gambit, as the main idea is for white to take with 3. dxe5 and for black to respond with Ng4. There are some main lines after that, which you can learn about in lessons or on youtube probably (I have been learning from Simon William's brief course here on chess.com). Here is a sample opening you could find yourself in:  As you can see, this position is 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e5 3. dxe5 Ng4 4. Nf3 Bc5 5. e3 Nc6 6. Be2 Ngxe5 7. Nxe5 Nxe5, and black has a nice position with some good development and more to come. It would be awesome if one of our admins (or whoever can) would make a tournament for the Budapest Gambit     So, have YOU played the Budapest Gambit? What do you think about this opening? Feel free to challenge me to a daily game (as white or black) if you want to try playing it with me!
