The price sure doesn't look like a Chronos which would be about 2x as much.
chess clocks

They have an older model without the tilted back display that people seemed to like except for that. USCF and HOS are also carrying it. It comes in "pastel" colored cases also as well as with green and red display. If you hit the company website up there is a PDF you can download with the instructions. They actually seem pretty simple to follow. Looks like the next big thing...

I'd wait until hearing it described as being built like a tank, the way Chronos clocks are, before jumping on this particular bandwagon.

@pwwaring
They actually address that in the literature: it's described as an "indoor" clock for the exact reason you gave. You can also find the odd photo taken with flash and, well, you don't see much. Only a few reviews around and they're for the predecessor. It was bigger and square shaped. Same function as the new one but without a tiltback display. So far just collectors reviews but of course the jury is out on durability.

Was going to say that some places have the chronos back in stock since I bought a few weeks ago, but looks like they're on back order again.
Re: the zmf chess clock. A user here in the forums, ifekali, has a chess blog and has reviewed it, here: http://bestchessmenever.com/blog/files/zmartfun-updated.html

It's good that we're not getting all emotionally attached to our favorite clock.

Haha! Yes, that actually made me "lol" .......and the funny thing is, I don't think he meant it in any bad way whatsoever. That was awesome.
Actually, the Chronos clocks are in stock. I just received my push button Chronos on Tuesday. I just checked the website, and the price dropped since my purchase (ughhh) last week. Same site as the OP's link.

Oooh. They are on sale for under a hundred. Just under, but still... best price I've seen for Chronos clocks. On some sites, I've seen those listed as high as $180. Wholesale chess is great, in my experience. Those usually go for $109 on WSC. Shipping is free, too. Ten bucks off........hmmmmm lol

Yeah I saw that too. Killer price for Chronos. I don't think I'm smart enough to figure out how to set them unfortunately. Nothing sadder than someone with high end stuff who doesn't know how to use it... Don't ask me how I know.

Chronos have metal instead of plastic cases for one thing. Except for some special edition "museum quality" wooden cased clocks they are also the most expensive. They were also the first with "touch sensor" buttons which are much more elegant although some old school guys used to banging their clocks with freshly captured pieces don't like them since that doesn't work. They also have a good reputation for reliability which is a good thing since getting them serviced can be problematic. Basically all the "cool kids" have them.

The Chronos is a bit different to program than some clocks, but if you've ever programmed a digital wristwatch, it's about the same. Once you learn it, it's easy enough.
The DGT "shit" clock is available on ebay for $29
i might buy it. I wonder if it can do 5 sec delay per move?

Nah, I thought the same before I saw the following vid. It makes setting the chronos seem kind of simple, really.

Nope. The next model up (Easy game timer +) includes delay. If you want a full featured DGT then the North America at around $50 is what you want.
Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any experience with this chess clock?

It looks a lot like a chronos, so I am wondering if it's indeed like a chronos, maybe made by a sister company, or if they're just trying to copy the look to give it instant credibility.
Thanks
