Fritz interface options

When I make a move in Komodo 9 (using the Fritz interface) a highlight circle appears on the source square and the destination square changes colour - and Chessbase no longer supplies a manual.  Is there a way to turn this off, please?

If there's a way to turn this off, I can't find it.  Fortunately for me, I'm not bothered by the behavior.

Chessbase software is good but it's not as intuitive as others and has annoying quirks.  Seriously, what is the point of that cirlce?!  Or the endless 'Variations' popups (in both CB & Fritz)?
