Post Your Chess Sets

nice chess sets N2UHC.

I got this board as gift from my son as he came back from Peru (Machu Pichu)
nice, very colourful.

Picture isn't great but I found this on Craigslist today for 15 bucks! It's a large folding board in pretty rough shape, probably about 15 inches square, and the kings are near 4 inches in height.
The pieces are heavy and have a ton of character in their age. I want to build my own board for it and stain to match nicely I think.

Very nice metal set. A little tall with narrow bases, but the heavy weight should compensate a little for that. A metal board?

I don't imagine I have the ability or equipment for a metal board but I suspect I could manage a reasonably fine wooden board for these pieces. It would just involve finding colors to match. I believe the pieces are brass, and black were painted. I'll get a better photo of the black pieces as this was just an Instagram/Facebook shot.

Wow, $1349.00! Beautiful knights, though!

Took me half a minute to get that! If you're going to correct someone's grammar, that's the way to do it, haha!

You might be able to pick up one of those marble sets cheap and use the board for these pieces. Those "Aztec" sets from the 70's are all over the place and dirt cheap in most cases.

There was nothing wrong with my grammar.
