Openings Puzzle Trainer

I was thinking about a potential openings trainer that could help beginner like me to memorise openings on the board.

If something like this already exists then I apologise but if not bear with me while I try to explain my idea.

I’m thinking that it could work in a similar way to puzzles wherein you have the option to select the type of opening that you want to practice with sub option for different variations against the computer until the you’ve made the correct moves according to theory.

Sort of like

Sicilian
- Open
- Closed

Queens Gambit
- Accepted
- Declined
- Slav defence

Ruy Lopez
- Classical
- Berlin

And so on

We could select the openings we want to practice with a heading on which one we are practicing at the time and then move on to another one.

I understand that some people use some other software like Chess Position Trainer and it could be a very time consuming task to program given all the possible variations that could be included. But I genuinely think it could be very helpful.

Let me know what you think. Not looking at it necessarily to learn myself thinking about it more as a feature of the website.
