What happened to the fact you were untracking this? Another dishonest thing :P
Defences to the Parham Attack

Uh-huh, I thought you were going to stop commenting? I'd like you to stop trolling so we can discuss the Parham. Thank you very much.

Wow, I was eating dinner you nub. I blundered mate from an obviously winning position. Now are you going to claim I'm cheating Gavi, you idiot. FYI, if you're going to use rating my TT is 2000+ and maxed at 2200+ and my CM is 1800+ and around 1900. So by those standards my actual rating should be higher than it is.

3 days per move means I have 3 days to move. Not "shepi wont move", etc. I was up multple pawns and simply allowed your knight to enter because I got greedy. That wasn't the opening, that was a blunder. If you say it's not, then Nakamura lost because of the opening, not because of the blunder. I also played quite innacurrately in the opening due to some miscalculation and the surprise h3 created.

Yes, I know some people, namely MSC, were saying the h6 g5 formation isn't an issue. The game on the previous page is a perfect exapmple of what the Parham can do to you.

My brother is new to chess. I'm teaching him. When he comes to visit next week for coffee, cigars and chess...I'm gonna spring it on him. lol...I know he'll be amazed.
Then, of course (being a good brother) I'm gonna then have to explain to him why he shouldn't try to pull a stunt like that on me.
Mind you, I do see value in this opening...especially when playing blitz. But...
You guys must know about this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parham_Attack

See a database is called cheating, do you think Kasparov went into all of those years he won the WCC using a laptop and database right nexst to him?
I happen to agree with you 100% about using a database while playing.
I haven't run into anyone but you...and me...who has ever said this here. In fact, they've come at me with torches and pitchforks when I've said it.

Whatupyodog suprised me with 7. h3. After winning a few pawns and gaining an enormous advantage I blundered mate

I feel quite sad that I missed Nf6+. Really a quite dumb oversight, almost as bad as whatup hanging pieces.

I'm 1-1 against the parham, and I'm not as hung up on those positional keys as you think, but a 2-3 pawn advantage without major compensation should equal a win. And I don't act as an authority, but find one line for white where black doesn't gain a 1 pawn or greater advantage. I think that's winning.

And you don't consider me to not be a reasonably strong player? 1760 isn't that low the last time I checked. If I actually took as much time in CC as I do in OTB chess I would score much better. I move fast and blunder, I don't use all of my 3 days like some of you do.

Everyone knows that I suck at blitz. Blitz is based mainly on intuition, and, having started chess recently I don't have the experience to be good at blitz. Why don't we check our ratings USCF (me and you, alex doesn't have one and I know he's at least slightly better than me.) Mine is around 1611 right now, and I've been gaining almost 100 points a month.

And Emma that's awesome, were you playing online or at a local club or something?
Are you claiming that I cheated in my game vs whatupyodog? In that game I failed to see a winning line, and then I simply took the free pieces he gave me, even whatupyodog doesn't claim that I used an engine there. That's my only parham game, so it's the only time I could have cheated vs the parham. Man, you need an education if you think taking free pieces and pawns is cheating.
