Fried liver defense
can some1 dig in and give some deep analysis? or I should post it up on general chess discussion so more ppl will respond?
It is kinda weird. Even when someone fails with the Fried Liver it still succeeds at messing up your structure. I'm not the best at analysis, so I don't know for sure.
exactly. I'm still struggling with how to deal with it. and I don't see that black comes out even after the defense they give in the lessons.
You could also try 5.b5 Ulvestad variation instead of 5.Na5. If 6.Bxb5 Qxd5 black is all good. 6.Bf1 has been shown to be correct but in this case black is clearly under no immediate pressure and can continue with Nd4 for example.
