I am looking forward to learning something Jempty.  Your last innovation was good even though it did not work out so well for you.  But I really did learn a lot fro playing you.

Jempty is a really strong expert player, with a lot of knowledge on opening theory and strong tactical skills. It's a

However, we are going very off-topic. I suggest creating a thread concerning Bishop's Gambit. I would gladly share there my game with Polish FM to bring some input into discussion.

Now, let's stop this offtop and back to the Ponziani.

Cnacnel, the game I was to referring to with Jempty was a Ponziani game.  It might be posted somewhere in here.

Great game with a beautiful mate. I had only one question: what would you have played against Ng4? I could not see it.

That is an alternative for Nh7 after which white has probably a forced win.

I see 1. Qd2 Ng4 2. Nh6:+ Nh6: 3. Qh6: Qg4 4. Nf5.

If white tries to chase the knight on g4 away, then will black play 2. ... Bg5 preventing white to continu easily with his attack. Did I miss something?

DJAbacus

After Yes after 19... Ng4 it would have been more complicated but the plan was 20 Qe2 attacking the Knight then 20...Nf6 21 Qe3 Ng4 22 Qf3 Nf6...

Normal Coffee House took over the Chess Cafe a block from where I work, I've Started taking clients to the Coffee House Chess Cafe for therapy chess. I always have a copy of my brother's book on the Ponziani Opening with me for credibility. You can learn a lot about their decision making, problems with impulse control, risk taking behaviors, emotional maturity, as well as general level of intelligence, just sitting down to a game of chess.

My brother has white shirt. He really sometimes takes his counseling clients to play chess a block away from his office.  He is age 69 and can do more than 70 push ups [obviously in good health]

He, on his 69th birthday did 71 pushups in a row and rather quickly!
