Refutation of Semi-Slav Marshall Gambit?
I don't think the above line is what I'm asking for. I want to know if there is a refutation to the gambit, not a refusal of it.
I don't want to play 3...Nf6- I'm trying to play the Triangle move order to reach a Semi-Slav- that way I don't have to seriously worry about the exchange Q.G.D. I was just wondering if there's a recommendation for black against the Marshall Gambit in case I ever want to try this in a serious game and come across this gambit.
There is no refutation to the marshall gambit in the semi-slav and if you use the triangle move order to reach semi-slav positions you cant really avoid it so you simply have no choice but to be prepared to meet it head on .
Looking at my database looks like 8... Na6 is most popular , by far but 8... Ne7 seems to do best but based on a lot fewer games .
Reb-your response is typically that oh no you are wasting your time with this opening minutia you jack of all trades master of none you are beneath me. Oh, maybe that was special for certain people.

lol you aren't even GM
So ? I have achieved most of my chess goals and being a GM was never one of them . Whats your point ?
Guys, this doesn't belong in my thread. Either give me what you think is the best line against the Marshall Gambit or get out of here.

Maybe 8. ...Ne7 is what you're looking for, in this game Black got a comfortable position:
I don't think so, because if white plays 9. Qd2, then black is not looking too good, as he now cannot play 9...Nd5 (when 10. cxd5 and the bishop on b4 is now protected by the queen), so if black plays 9...Ng6 he cannot castle right away. White has some nice ideas, too for move 10. with getting the rook to d1 and doubling up in the d-file looking promising, along with 10. h4 or 10. Nh3. I'd rather play any of those positions as white.
Does it exist? If so, what is it? I have heard many claim that the position is equal or slightly better for black with best play from both sides, but I want to know what that is.
