I have not seen the idea of sacrificing the pawn with 5. ed Bb4 - it looks interesting.
I'm not sure why you are worried about 5. Nf3 de. It looks like you are ahead in development with an open center.

5. Nf3 ed 6. Nd4 Bb4 7. Bd2 Qe5+ 8. Qe2 and he almost has to trade queens, 8.... Qe2+ 9. Be2 and you are in great shape.
Taking the analysis a little farther. 9. ... Nf6 10. 0-0-0 0-0 11 Ndb5 Na6 12. Be3 and he is forced to give up the bishop pair to stop you from winning a pawn. He can take on c3, or, if he moves the c pawn, you play Nd6 and take on c8.
What is the best way to deal with
The 2 main moves are de and Nf3. After 4.ed Bb4, however, black gets a lot of play for the pawn, and 4.Nf3 ed gets rid of white's central pawns. Any ideas?
