There is no such thing as the "Indian Game", despite whatever chess.com says, a lot of their info is wrong.

There is the King's Indian Defense, Nimzo-Indian Defense, Queen's Indian Defense, Bogo-Indian Defense, Old Indian Defense, and some people insert the word Indian to the Grunfeld Defense or the Modern Benoni Defense, but there is no "Indian Game". Note that the Kings Indian Defense in some countries is known as the West Indian Defense and the Queen's Indian Defense is known as the East Indian Defense. But there still is no "Indian Game".

Hippo-Holmes

My favorite opening must be the Hippo because I play it in every game with white and black. So i'd be a total 'Hippo-crite' if I said the Trompowsky or something! 😂

Many years ago I did play lots of other openings, before my memory went. 😩

That is an excellent opening.

Most people actually aren’t accustomed to it and it can lead to some nasty traps depending on each player’s skill level. It’s pretty complex, I have to say. I haven’t given much thought to it. Knowing you, ThrillerFan, I would’ve guessed you’d say something like, “There are no such things as ‘favorite openings’. You shouldn’t limit yourself to one opening and there are a finite amount of good openings to even choose from. Although, if I HAD to choose, probably the QG.” I was surprised to hear you say something as quirky and dynamic as the Petrov.
