Question for the IM's. How would you play the Na5 line as black?

The usual backup for silly, unfounded claims can vary.

- A bullet game against a 1200- player is presented as hard evidence.

- "This is certain. My 2650+ GM trainer told me so". Of course the GM's name is a top secret, unless the GM has died recently.

- "This is so because the earth is yellow. If it was green, then it would be a watermelon". (typical x_player logic).

- "The position is full of hidden dynamism". Of course this should provide ample compensation for being two pieces and one pawn down.

- "Nobody knows how to play that at my level". This, at the very least, proves that the claimer does have a level.

- "Playing the right moves is boring". Apparently dropping wood at random is exciting, though...

But Areg7 broke every previous record:

"My improvement doesn't matter- there is no refutation to it."

OK, let it be so, sir. Your opinion doesn't matter, too: It's of the same quality as your nonexistent proof.

I am sorry Sir.

However, the Traxler isn't possible in the Fried Liver Attack.

The fact, you are arguing against Areg7 about it makes me laugh!

The below position is the Fried Liver Attack.

Any positions before move 6 are not called the Fried Liver Attack.

When Tiviakov finds it difficult to win, you know black is doing fine.

I just played the Na5 variation as white against a 2000 rated. I got destroyed.

Hadly the opening at blame- I saw the game. You simply dropped material, and lost. After Nf4 (instead of Nf3?) the Rxe2 threat was parried, and a the game was on.

True, very true. However, you will find a lot of "Fried Liver" threads in chess dot com which don't even feature 4.Ng5...

Excuse me, Max lange attack goes this way:

The variation you showed is a transposition from Two knights defense(it's max lange attack anyway). For more information read this:

Yes Harish, but in your diagram, it doesn't necessarily has to turn into the Max Lange Attack. Black has better choices. For example, take a look at this diagram.

5...Bxd4?

5...Bxd4!

Here- I fixed it for you.

Your final position (after 9.Bg5) is at least equal for Black. The trick is the following one:

The move 10...Rg8! is a computer finding, as well as a great move: Black anticipates Bxf6, and puts the rook on the file which will likely open. Black has a plus score over 35+ games that have been played from here.

Black has also tried 12...a6, 12...h6 and 12...Ne6 in place of 12...0-0-0. All of them look mighty good.
