The Hungarians know whats up!

Thanks for sharing Big.
It looks great as a place to hang out and take it easy, with a small challenge thrown in.
I often woonder how the guys at tournaments do it with people all around whispering or hanging closeby. I've been to three matches to see one son play but it has to be hard having several people hanging out watching each move.

(I know that this is a very old post, but...)
Actually, it is surprising, that this is surprising for you! : D
This is such natural. I am from Hungary so this is kind of a proper source: this is normal there. My dad plays chess in the swimming pool for 15 years already, every single day of the year! There is a big company there, friends, people who like chess and they meet every day.
But you can see mostly men playing there. If they would play with women, they would lose always since watching other things instead of the chess board. ;) :D
I was in Budapest the last 4 days and for 2 of those days I was lucky enough to go to the ancient Turkish baths. One thing I thought was just down right amazing was that the locals play chess while in the thermal pools. They have plastic pieces on a plastic vinyl material board. I just thought to myself, how amazing is that. Standing in an ancient Turkish bath playing chess with old friends. They really know whats up! I wasn't able to play a game while I was there (everyone who plays brings their own board) Has anyone else witnessed this? It's truly incredible! Such a lovely setting for such a lovely game.
