A spirit that is not possessing any piece can only be captured by possessed pieces.
I think this invulnerability makes the spirit very dangerous and this potential only really became clear to me in our game!

I was thinking that the game should have continued something like 21.Kc2 Qc3+ 22.Kb1 Qxb3+ 23.Kc1 Qc3+ 24.Kb1 Rjb8
Wc6+ is coming (or Wc8 if white plays d5). White should get checkmated soon. At least that was the cleanest way to win I could find.
