It started off slightly different (some pawns were "bulldogs"), then evert added the witch, and the bulldogs are gone, but I still call it "bulldog". I keep rules for three versions of the game, so the others can still be played.
A player from Singapore would be fun in the tournament. I hope to start other games later so other players can "rise up" and challenge the top players. Message me anytime if you'd like to be included in some way.
