The king is not the target. He is not subject to check/checkmate and game does NOT end with his capture. Each player chooses a "flag holder". They tell the MOD (rychessmaster1), and when he knows both flag information, the game commences. The aim of the game is to capture the flag holder!
The flag holder may move to an attacked square, but not beyond that (as far as I understand). So if you make a move (with your flag holder) that intersects with a tile a hostile piece is attacking you must stop at or before that tile!
Finally, you have the ability to switch your flag holder. The switch must be completed by an adjacent (orthogonal, or diagonal, right?) friendly troop.
Since this is infinite, can we agree there is no winning from getting the flag to the 8th rank and back to first?
