I might start a rookie (less than three months after finishing their first game) tournament at the same time as the old dog tournament, a worthy companion. A good idea?
If there are less than eight that have played the required amount, I might raise the time to beginning of the year. Six months may be good.

If everyone is ok with it, we'll set this for whenever Martin0 is ready. That could be 1 to 2 months, but I think it's worth it.
I will have a roundup of all player who have been playing for less than three months.

Some names look new to me (haven't been playing for at least 3 months). JohnHS is the director, so he decides who is in.
Since pairings is Swiss method, then I suppose we should wait to see the pairings before we decide games? I'm hoping to play bulldog with hunter, or bulldog with witch, if allowed.
My opinion is we don't need to wait for Martin0. Around September (when Martin0 is available) I might start a new tournament, so then Martin can be in that one.
I second that. @Martin0 has already said he wants @JohnHS instead of him.
