I have started to try to create a chess club in my school. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions in doing so.
If you do have any suggestions, I also have a few questions:
How do I get people to actually join this club?
How do I get the school to allow this club to actually take place?
Would it be better to have this club before, after, or during school? and
How should we actually play chess: online or on actually chess boards?

Starting a chess club? Glorious.
1, Get a teacher to sponsor it—just pitch the chaos.
2, Recruit with flair: posters, memes, “Blunder Battles.”
3, After school = max tilt.
4, Use real boards for drama, online for extras.
5, Make it fun: nicknames, lore, emotional meltdowns.
Build the myth. Flap the f4. Let the blunders fly.
