Billy......I dont mind you checking how many  bullet games I played.....but I thing that doesnt proof anything either....I find it strange that you are asking chess.com to increase the number of members you can block.....have you asked yourself WHY  you are having  issues with so many people????   I mean.....after all ...200 people is alot

After I read all the comments I began to wonder was it really me that was perhaps overeacting (oh he's playin a3 again!!!!; what I have clear positional advantage and he wants a queen exchange!!!).

It's not clear to me what you are saying. You block people who repeatedly play a3, or offer queen exchanges when they are worse? Or did you mean something else?

also the majority isn't always right about everything. in fact mobs of people engaging in group-think are typically, and historically, wrong and are to blame for some of the worst travesties to have ever occurred in human history.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Please I don't want to play anyone with the word 'killer' in their name! or just a bunch of numbers or 'qwertyuio'.

Together with the op approx 75% of those posting are anonymous or false profiles. So that might be a lot of blocks. I'm not sure if staff have given reasons for the limit. If you are blocking for bad language that's a good reason and if you submit tickets the miscreants may be warned by site admins or removed from the site.

hmmm....you should take a look at this: http://www.chess.com/cheating

In the last 24hrs chess.com has closed more than 30 accounts. And the list just goes on and on. This is not in one year or a month, it is in one day!

almost one every hour.

Billy......we are not talking about chess.com closing accounts due to cheating. .....we are talking about YOU wanting to increase the number of ppl u can block.

Conquistador

This is a parody of Windows-7_'s past thread.

I thought it might be better to ask you, will you be deciding if there will be change, if any? I am not sure, how this works, but I know other forum sometimes makes other members mods.

Will you be moderating this; in other words, deciding if it is a valid request and then presenting it to the senior members??

edit: i was only thinking this because you are premium member; please correct me if i am wrong.

thank you

Billy.......I would not even consider making any changes for you if I had the power to do so. Honestly, I think the one w social issues is you, not the 200 ppl u blocked.....good luck darling.....hope u can keep blocking and blocking and blocking and blocking......ughhhhhh lol

I am sure you are aware of certain players who are inconsiderate idiots who are not here to play chess but just to give grief.

They only constitute a small percent of the community. But that is the problem. Even if they are 1 percent, currently the number of chess.com members are in millions. That means certainly these troublemakers surely now number in thousands.

Yet chess.com only allow you to block 200 members. This was ok in the beginning, when there was only a few members.

I suggest, for the love of everyones sanity, to increase the  number of memebers we can block.

The problems is that I think  a lot of these members are creating multiple accounts.

Please I don't want to play anyone with the word 'killer' in their name! or just a bunch of numbers or 'qwertyuio'.

Anyone who is so casual about such small matters are going to be extremely blind to the bigger things. They just don't care.

And I would like to play with people who do.

I only want to play with decent people. Let me block these losers.

Increase the maximum amount of blocks!!!!

Power to the people!

Jeez! didn't someone try this kind of thing in the 1930's  first it was 200 then....welll...  you don't like the word killer?  what next you don't like anybody with blue eyes, then anyone who doesen't resign and that kind of list goes on...Whilst most of the chess community wants to expand chess interest you want to shrink it to a personalised likes and dislikes, your elite......don't talk shite!

billyblatt

Nobody is talking shite here!

Keep that kind of language for people who applaud you for it. Don't try to use offensive language to bully people.

Everyone has the right to express their opinion. If you don't like it move one. Keep your shite to yourself.

AlCzervik

I did some research, and found there to be only 158 decent people who also care (your criteria) on the site. It might be difficult for c.c to allow anyone to block over 6 million members.

HessianWarrior

It would be just as easy to delete someones account that has 25,081 posts clogging up the forums.

BorgQueen

1 block = one record in a table.

If they allowed unlimited blocks and everyone was like billy here, chess.com would quickly run out of disk space and the site would slow to a crawl while it does block-checking.

Easier and far more effective is to just delete the billyblatt account Yell

SPARTANEMESIS

That sounds interesting Godhctawsoplayor.  However I don't block people [on Chess.com] regardless of what Yagyu Munenori and Miyamoto Musashi have said.

NITEMARECREATOR

Can everyone PLEASE quit feeding the troll??  Trolls tend to stay when they are getting attention to such trivial issues.

There was a saying that my dad told me when I was growing up and I believe that it fits the OP's problem...

If you are in a room with 200 other people and you think they are all a$$holes, maybe you need to look at yourself for it is YOU who is the a$$hole in the room.
