I should probably untrack this before the thread is hijacked. Then again I would miss out on last post before lock. Too many choices.

Nah, I think you got a lock on last post before lock. It counts if you are quoted in the last post!*

*No, it doesn't really. I just made that up.

Gilded_Candlelight

Damn. Its all about timing you know? you have to fuel the fire just right then slip in that last post. I think this forum might be a little bit away though, by tomorrow it should be properly stoked. I will be sure to set my alarm lol.

This thread was hijacked a long time ago by the blathering members of the Royal POS (Piece of Spam) Morons; it is time people that actually want to talk about chess on this site stand up to these loudmouths and tell them that NOBODY finds their self-referential pseudo-humour amusing in any way.

If enough people stand up to them, maybe they will run along to 4chan where people like that belong.

I really ddin't mean to interrupt the chess discussion on this thread. What was it again...we were discussing the Nimzo Indian, I believe?

I just wrote a program that will auto-block anyone who posts the words "RSS" and "sucks" in the same sentence.

It needs a test, however.

Ubik42

Has anyone posted more on topic than LisaV?

AlCzervik

ilikeparrots.

And I hate rss.

And I have never blocked anyone.

I like TheGrobes suggestion that once you click on the 201st block, your account is closed!

Ubik42

Strange...now that you mentuion it, skips from post #135 to #137.

Bug, likely. Or mod deleted post?

Dammit...I just blocked myself!

Must be under the new Administration of the BMM!

Sunofthemorninglight

the option for a member to be left out of block on parole for good behaviour could be considered.

Yeah that's a good point.

That leads me to the system of simply rating another player on how are they behaving I think. If they get lets say 50 or a 100 negative votes by other players, over a period of say a year, then certainly he is not here to play chess but just being difficult.

Then maybe they should be issued with a warning.

On the other hand if they get a positive rating, and a lot of members say he's a good player, I mean you like playing with him. Then perhaps they should be equally rewarded, maybe with a premium membership or a wildcard in the next candidates tournament.
