Wow, according to that article, turkeys are treated like superstars compared to other for food animals. I've heard (mostly in anti-corporate and pro-vegan documentaries) corn was used as feed owing to lower costs, not for the sake of customers or the product, for most animals.
Indeed, get that meat to the food table as fast as possible. We love our customers to fatten up.
