My wife left because of chess

She told me I spend too many hours playing and studying chess so she moved to one of her coworkers house. What should I do? I enjoy playing chess a lot much more than spending time with she. On the other hand, who is going to do the housework from now on?

You wrote: "I enjoy playing chess a lot much more than spending time with she".

You will find a better wife(maybe chess player or fan) that deserves you. All the best!

I think this is something to go to a marriage counselor about, not the Chess.com forums. happy.png

I'm never sure if the marital dispute threads are trolls or not......

If troll, congratulations, here is food for troll wp.png

If serious, you probably have bigger problems than just chess....it's usually not the thing you do but the attitude with which you do it that gets you into trouble.

Bobby Fischer once said, "Chess is not a matter of life or death, it's more important than that", and also, "If chess was meant to be played in the sky, they would have put grass up there".

So I think you have your answer.

No wonder why Fischer is regarded the greatest!

Feels bad man, my wife left me for another woman. Karen, if you see this then I just want to say that they're my kids too.

Considering you have been here 4 1/2 years, and your daily rating is 1102?

Your wife was very patient, and can do better.

Well that is not great to be honest. Is it fully about chess or are there any other issues? How much time per day do you play chess. Give her some attention and spend some time with her. Good luck
