That's what I like : weirdness , out-of-the-box stuff. The off-topics are my favorite. There is nothing so interesting as homosexual zebras.
Forum Nonsense!

Some people have great fun picking on/laughing at those who ask stupid questions, maybe we shouldn't spoil their fun...

Well then, search for Xieff's thread about his "Awesomenes!s"
Will do , thanks.
Still , there are some people who genuinely try to make the forums funny/interesting and I made a list of my favorite authors. Let's face it , talking about chess only can be boring. I want to get to "know" people. Personally I think there are only a few threads that deal with chess issues and are interesting.

This is what is too bad. This is the largest chess forum on the internet, it could be of enormous benefit to the site and a great selling point. But it is clear that these forums are not a priority. Look at how other successful forums are run. This place resembles Facebook, Reddit, or even Yahoo Chess in comparison. As is, there are fewer and fewer reasons to stick around here.

Once again, I am faced by the following nonsense:
It seems to me that this sort of thing will be greatly reduced if a forum qualification is instituted.
My proposal runs as follows.
No forum posting until:
1. Ten games of Online Chess have been played.
or
2. Twenty games of Live Chess have been played.
or
3. One month's membership.
(The chosen figures are arbitrary)
It wouldn't completely stamp out the spammers, and those only here to stir the pot, but it will reduce their numbers, in my opinion.
Thoughts?
So I guess you're not a soccer fan?

Well then, search for Xieff's thread about his "Awesomenes!s"
It's been deleted. Which is a shame, because I had some pretty high-quality posts in it.

I'm watching Manchester City Vs Chelsea right now.
However, my viewing would be ruined, if a chess match were to break out, on the pitch.

The OP is pointing out the spam threads made by bots to promote whatever, in this case a soccer match. Compared to people who join and start threads on cheating or something, those threads are... a lower grade of spam? I dunno, that's the best way I can describe it.
Forums have always been nonsensical, including Xieff's which turned into a discussion about homosexual zebras. That sort of stuff makes it a delight.
