considering some of the crap that gets smeared on these forum walls, I'd say the mods are pretty tolerant.

OK lets not get to hung or fickle over which mod!..I see fair points GD i'de have to look at the details to answer honestly..I try my best not to be an assuming man.It just didn't feel right GD. Did you enjoy the result?

You don't know WHY it was locked Stevie?

Maybe not for the reasons you think. I would of locked-it because of that image of ''bear-on-a-chain''?

Disliked that.

The process was okay by me, but that's a matter of taste.

The result I really wanted was the one I was plainly asking for in the thread: a fair response to my questions about his false accusations.

Stevie65

Ok..Ok i hear you both. It's not my issue to resolve.I like the guy he's an internet friend and hes funny.  I guess we can all push to far sometimes.I just wish some people would be more mature and sensible about resolving such issues...like in private. That way nobody gets hurt or offended.

feelings can be so overrated. we get over things much more critical than anything that has happened here. hardly a bump.

bronsteinitz

Well what has happened then? I see an incredible artist being chased by a gang of...ok, very average people.

I have no shares in him, but you have to be blind not to see that he's gold and that his threads could end up in musea.

That wasn't fair Kohai

What wasn't ? I didn't do anything

I've been training new support staff for the past month so I've been pretty much occupied with that. Thats the reason I haven't had much time in the forums lately.

Other than the last week of this month I will be in the forums quite a bit more now though.

Stevie65

Yes Kohai that'll be me..I'm sorry Kohai my mistake..I apologise i took you for granted and cryed out in frustration at A locked thread that i felt should not have been locked..I felt a comment deleted would of been more prudent than an all out lock..however it was not my OP..So..again i extend my apologies,  please forgive me.

I agree that this whole thing has a 'tempest in a teapot' feel to it.   But at the same time I think there are real issues, such as the fact that some people think it's their duty to police the forums (I'm talking about regular members here, not moderators whose duty it actually is).

Because they 'don't suffer fools gladly', there's a number of people who feel it's their job to chase off those whom they don't agree with.   To me that's the main problem around here.  I've seen that so many times - some newbie raises a topic that's not to their liking so they spam him to death instead of ignoring it and that person never comes back because the forums are so harsh to newcomers.   If there is a real problem (abuse, bad language, objectionable images, etc.) report it and let the mods take care of it, otherwise why not just let people ask dumb questions, make stupid comments, and enjoy themselves?   Where did regular members get the idea that it's their job to scrub the forums clean of 'fools'?

kohai

No worries :)  I haven't been active in the forums lately other than the help forum and android threads so not even sure which thread it was or why.  I trust the forum moderators, if I didn't, they wouldn't be moderators on here :)

Stevie65

Thanx Kohai..

This utter silence is the most sensible answer that I have witnessed in this tempest in a teapot until now.

Just lol.

Who are you talking about?  I just read this entire thread and I don't the foggiest idea who you are referring to.  So I claim it's your fault, @Brawny.  Smile

But you can rectify this "ommission" with your next post, if you choose.

zborg

Nevermind @Brawny.  Just finished the @Snakes Tribute Thread.

Hilarious stuff.  Kudo's to all who performed before the Lock set in.

@Snakes keeps reminding me of those 1950s Westerns that keep being remade and re-released.  Like Wyatt Earp.  Great entertaining movie.

Conversely, after reading the RSS Shit-list, Hit-list, from start to finish, "their narrative" reads like the Reality TV show, Jersey Shore.

Even @Clifton cracks on Jersey.  Smile

And yet you think snakes posting all those photoshopped pictures of Hessian Warrior in a public forum is ok?

corrijean

IMO, private griping is not nearly as worthy of censure as public harassment of people by photoshopping their pictures.

Stevie65

That was an avatar...Even Hessian Warrior doesn't believe that pic is himself.............does he?
