I once saw a lamp that had a base that looked like the base of a pawn - to me anyway. A pawn with a cord? Electricpawn! Then I imagined a pawn on the seventh rank with lightening bolts shooting from its "head". Unfortunately this sort of thing never happens during a game. I would use a pawn w/bolts as my avatar, but I haven't found one. Frankly, I'm too lazy about those kinds of things to spend much time looking.

Ok, a quick search can always give results, but I am just asking the members of the site.

The new trend is the moving avatars. I saw a few members using them during the last days.

I chose mine because Cthulhu told me to.

I change mine almost daily. It's entirely whimsical.

How long until we get holographic icons?

I started out using my real name, but change it to my current username, which is a play on words.  As for my current picture, I started out with the generic pawn.  I got bored with that and decided to change it.  After figuring out how to download a picture to my profile, I Googled chess art and scrolled through hundreds of pictures until I found one that suited my particular aesthetic taste.

I chose to use my own handsome mug.
