Is something wrong with match making currently?

I’m ~1000 rated blitz player and in my last two matches I got paired against a 800 rated opponent which I thought was odd but maybe just a fluke, and then in my next match got paired against a 200 rated opponent. Now I know that’s not supposed to happen. Not only that but when I won the game it said my rating went up 165 points??? Against a 200 rated opponent??? It’s not reflected on my stats page but is anyone else experiencing this?

As a follow up looking at my match history now it says the one guy is over 1000 rated now and the second is in the 700s but I still shouldn’t be playing someone in the 700s. Are ranks just being displayed incorrectly?
Yes, there is. I'm around 1300 and I got matched with two 1000s, a 1100, a 1500, and a 1700. So no one actually in my rating bracket was matched with me in the last 5 or so pairings. Also, there's some sort of glitch with the display rating. After each game (and even in the archives) it shows me and my opponent being 100 rating higher than what we actually are. I'm being shown as ~1400, for instance.
It's probably an easy fix, so I'm just going log off and check later.

You can fix the rating range of your opponent
Select custom game ---> options
Did that 164 rating jump stick?

For people with very few rapid games, or a long time since they played rapid games, their RD value is high and they will have large rating swings until more games are played in the rapid pool.
Same problem. I thought I’d inadvertently changed a setting and was playing unrated games, but nothing suggests that. I did the log out/in thing, to no avail. I presume the admin is aware, and this will be rectified shortly.
why change something that works just fine? this is unnecessary and unfair

Nothing to rectify. 10|0 games change your rapid rating now, not blitz.
