(newbie) why does the chat is still locked for me ?

Hi ! It may sounds like a stupid question, but I wonder why is the live chat locked for me, even after verifying my account and playing more than 10 games... Sorry if I'm on the wrong forum, I'm pretty new to that website.

Hmm, if your opponent disables chat it will be disabled for both of you during the whole game, but it sounds like you're saying it was like this for all 10 of your games which is odd.

I might have suggested that someone is pranking you by changing your settings:
(live chat near the bottom) https://www.chess.com/settings/live

But your account is only 1 day old, and you're clearly able to post in the forums, so it doesn't seem to be a general restriction.

So I don't know. Maybe some kind of bug. What device are you using to play?

It just got unlocked like 5 days ago for me( I also played more than 10 games and I could  also post in the forums! )

Its been like 10 days since I joined.. Maybe just play more games or let the days roll by..

Probably because your opponents have disabled chat.

Oh, maybe it's one of those things that's restricted during the first 2 days or whatever it is... something between 1 and 3 I think.

Everything seems correct in my settings, I don't think someone is pranking me as I live alone. If someone is pranking me, it would raise much worse questions...

And I didn't mean hacking, I meant like leaving your phone on the table and your buddy clicks around on it or something.
