The trick to getting your issues addressed is to get them in front of the people who can actually help, and the best way for that is the support ticket system or the Help And Support forums.

bzzz. wrong answer. the old saying that the squeaky wheel gets the oil does not apply here, regardless of what venue or medium is used to put forth issues. i know this based on many pm's and emails with staff going all the way down the rabbit hole to shaun and erik.

there are some issues they will simply ignore.

Because they don't think it's an important enough issue to invest the time & resources to solve it in the way you want it solved, and have realised that you're never going to accept that. They're not about to mute you or kick you off the site, so ignoring your continued arguments makes perfect sense to me. They're still the right people to get your point in front of if you want it actioned.

Hi

AlCzervik

maybe i should have been more clear, caedrel, so it would be better understood. you and baron are saying that we need to get our issues in front of the right people. i point out i have, and then it's 'well, it's easier to ignore you'.

i went to bat for many who had very similar issues-some about functionality. so, no, it wasn't just 'me'. the point is they ignore many here. consider a current topic about upvoting/downvoting. many people expressing how it is a very poor idea, even asking how it works that posts get removed. not a single response from staff.

the 'who' doesn't really matter, even how many. member feedback/input is no longer a concern.

David

I agree that Staff don't hang out much in the forums - maybe they used to once upon a time, but now they largely leave it alone, except for the odd remarkable appearance like in https://www.chess.com/forum/view/community/chess-com-needs-to-fix-this-immediately-or-im-cancelling-my-membership I guess that's something they're actively working on, rather than something that's not in the current development plans

TomoMod

Even if staff are not always on the forums, the moderators are, and can relay stuff to staff if needed.

good morning

displaying a problem or, explaining a problem to the people that sit on the mount high, is like yelling at a rock, you can spend 30 minutes yelling and explaining to the rock house something does not work, when you are done and all your heirs out, it's still a rock,

it seems that voicing your opinion or trying to get the staff to actually look into issues they created, is like talking to a rock.

I see problems get fixed all the time after being reported. However, not all problems are the same and some things that are seen as problems are  not necessarily problems.

honestly many people were just working around this by using the old live URL.

It gives you a pop up saying to switch, when you press the "x" mark does it revert it to playing with a bot?

I'm referring to the https://www.chess.com/live link btw

Martin_Stahl

Clicking the X just closes it and it's normal games.
