this is a message primarily aimed at the moderators, but maybe some of the members can help too.
I have applied for a Gold Membership 2 days ago and entered my credit card information and everything.
Now I've changed my mind and I want to cancel it - I tried "downgrading" it to Basic and even wrote an email to Support but still haven't gotten a reply.
I just don't want to get billed in a week from now, and I don't know what to do.
I don't want to close my account, I just want my normal Basic membership.
Can you help?
No one in the forums can help you. Support doesn't often monitor them other than to censor posts that violate rules. (CEO Erik does pop in occasionally, however.)
Your email will be answered. They normally take several days to get back. (You should receive a preliminary notice that your email was received.)
Meanwhile, why not use it? Do 50 tactics problems or try the position drills. Watch one of the live ChessTV broadcasts. Play some live chess. Play more Daily Chess. You won your first three games against people who quit. Your rating went up. Your next games should be against noticeably better players. Soon, you will be able to play tournaments.
You have barely scratched the surface here.
