Team India is back in World League!
We will play in Division "B" of World League 2011.
For those who are following this thread, Team India crossed 3000 members on 12th January, 2011 (a week back).

36% matches won is pretty low. your population is very impressive but you don't win very often. quantity over quality?
Today we reached top 10 in Vote Chess match leaderboard - another milestone for us.
It is unfair to name a few for the unbelievable achievement of Team India in this form of competition (because VC is after all a team effort) but I am sure no one will beat me up for taking two names - Shukla_ak42 who lead Team India on VC front from almost the beginning of 2010 as administrator and chesstyrant (Tarun Uncle for TI members) whose skills saw Team India overcome many a challenges.
But these are just two names - there are simply too many who contributed to this success of ours. Hence I dare not even try taking their names for the fear of missing out some of them.
Thanks for reading this. I simply had to show off Team India's success!

I agree 36% is pretty low. There is simply no denying that. Whatever reasons I give, they will look like excuses (most of them actually are), so I will just admit - guilty as charged!

Congrats to unite the whole India in a single group. But it could be seen as though we are multiplying more than others. Is not India number one populated country. And what about multiple accounts ?
No, we still enjoy this privilege. We are the competitor for the other Indian group!
In March 2011 we have crossed 500 points in Vote Chess Matches and 20,000 points in Team Matches leaderboards.
In August 2011, Team India's membership crossed 4000!
