♟️CHESS.COM FEEDBACK: What one thing would you change?
For me, the number one addition would be to allow users to explore the online users opening database.
This is currently limited to master games, and from what I understand, over the board games at that.
Speaking frankly, the only reason I tend to play on the "other" site, is because I am already on it to review and study openings using their online players database. Naturally spending a lot of time on the other site makes it much easier to then jump into games.
I think chess.com opening up their openings explorer database to all online games played would be a game changer.
Right now, there's a rather fragmented approach to chess study as there's still a reason for aspiring players to hop across onto other sites to make use of all tools. Bring it all under one platform and this truly will be the one-stop shop!
Two more niche features - I'd love to be able to set up and play time-odds games (chess.com already added piece odds a while ago and time-odds would be a welcome addition as well). Another is to add a gameplay clock to the classroom feature. When working with a student, it'd be great to add a clock in order for each of us to "blitz" out a scenario under time pressure.

No disconnects. I'd rather wait 5 minutes for my opponent to reconnect than to have the game be cut short because of poor internet connection. It's weird because I can just afk the whole game but if my internet cuts out its much different, and it shouldn't necessarily be.
Also in analysis don't make the large green button the one that skips ahead like 10 moves. I want to see every inaccuracy not just what stockfish deems to be a blunder.
I will answer that. After I was muted for six months, just over 6 months ago, I read a learned article entitled "the psychopathy of trolling". I think it should be compulsory for staff and moderators to familiarise themselves with that and similar ideas/issues. I think there are people who are responsible for maintaining confidence in members that they are protected from trolls, who have zero idea what a troll is or does, how they operate, what are the different kinds of trolls and also regarding their patterns of behaviour, how to recognise them and how best to protect members from them. One way isn't to mute people who are complaining about trolls and their activities.
It would be nice if you posted specifics you troll.

I'm fairly confident chess.com is aware of trolls and their ways
for the record I responded to either a troll post or what should've been regarded as one.
Also, make it so that there is a setting where you can make it so you automatically go to the next puzzle like before
Serious Question:.... I've been here for 10 yrs so I know how mutes work. I've had my share of them.
....however.... Could you look at re-tweeking that rule. You can't post when your muted, but why take away the joy & benefit of all the other members when your threads disappear? Isn't the site punishing everyone else for your mistake? ![]()

Very good point
