I usually play Rapid but somebody said that you should try to play Blitz/Bullet it will help you when you have less time in a game. I tried to play but Failed. Is it just waste of time to play blitz or bullet instead of rapid?

"I usually play Rapid" ++ Good

"you should try to play Blitz/Bullet" ++ No

"it will help you when you have less time in a game" ++ Debatable

"Is it just waste of time to play blitz or bullet instead of rapid?" ++ Yes

Can confirm bullet is actively making me worse. I have to go away and do some puzzels play the bots without time limits to reset my play. It is addictive and not good for my improvement.

Blitz and bullet chess can be enjoyable and less intense compared to longer time controls. It can be a way to unwind, have fun, and experiment with different openings and strategies.

I just don't have the nerves for bullet. Blitz is harrowing enough!

Blitz and bullet is for testing your gameplay and applying what you have learnt . Since you have less time , you're supposed to play moves in a short amount of time so you don't get a lot of time for thinking over a single move . You can get better at this by improving your chess play in rapid . Play mostly rapid and improve through it and then test it out in blitz and then bullet . You can also try bullet and blitz if you want to play a casual game.

Right now, your problem isn't that you play too slow and use all your time. Exactly the opposite. You play way too fast, without thinking. In your last game, you played a 15 minute game, and after 28 moves you still had more than 13 minutes on the clock. Meanwhile, you blundered 2 knights, then the queen (the opponent didn't notice this one), then a lot of other pieces.

What you should do in rapid is to slow down, use your time and think. Try to play good moves.

If improvement is the goal, play slower time controls. At least 30 min or better longer... When you play blitz you rely on your reflexes, but don't really relearn things... It's just for fun.
